Posttraining workshops are also discussed. The sessions encompass an organizational meeting, information on sexual abuse, the acquaintance rape scenario, peer education, diversity and myth busting, and resources and practice. Six training sessions are presented for high school students interested in becoming peer educators.

This manual provides guidelines and training material for the Sexual Assault Peer Education (SAPE) program, which aims to instruct high school students in the definitions of sexual abuse, in the skills for helping someone who discloses a sexual assault, about the resources for survivors of sexual abuse, in working with high school teachers and staff, in providing campuswide outreaches to a variety of students and staff, and including males in the process of educating and raising awareness about sexual assault.
